In a complex global society, the effective management of human resources is a key to the success of any organization. The Human Resources Round Table known as was established in 1986 to help foster this success. is a network of human resources executives and academics designed to meet the changing demands of research and practice in human resources management. Membership is purposely designed to nurture the relationship of trust that has developed among participants over the years. Sensitivity to proprietary issues allows for a free exchange of knowledge and insights among executives and faculty. Members are the senior executives responsible for the design and execution of human resources strategy and policy in their organizations. Organizations eligible for membership represent a cross section of leading companies and institutions. Faculty Associates are experts in a wide variety of HRM specialties, a reflection of UCLA's interdisciplinary approach to human resources management in and out of the classroom.

 members have the opportunity to collaborate in graduate student applied research and to utilize other UCLA resources at the Anderson School and throughout the University. As an affiliate of the Institute for Research on Labor and Employment (IRLE), HARRT offers entre to a rich set of resources through IRLE research, programs, centers and other affiliates.

All HARRT programs are designed to be flexible and maximize the exchange of ideas among participants.
